Jefferson Community Foundation exists to honor the philanthropic legacy of our donors. As you think about the long-term change you will make in the causes you care about most, we hope you will consider JCF as the vehicle to make it happen.
Your instructions can be as broad or as detailed as you would like, and it is our job to make sure they are carried out in perpetuity, all the while protecting your financial and philanthropic investment.
As you consider using Jefferson Community Foundation to provide stewardship for your estate giving, we encourage you to think through the following issues:
What organizations or causes do you want to support?
- Are the funds to go to specific organizations e.g., your favorite arts organization or children’s health program?
- Are the funds to be used to support a specific cause, e.g., to support services for senior citizens or to support arts education in the schools
- Do you want to create a scholarship fund to help promising students continue their education?
- Do you prefer The Foundation direct funding to address changing community needs?
What assets do you want to give?
What name do you want for your fund?
Do you want the money to be in an endowment or in a non-endowment fund?
